The American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP) is a non-profit medical association for family doctors and medical students. This site includes extensive information about the practice of family medicine as well as links to online publications from AAFP. The "Patients" section links to "FamilyDoctor.org," a health information resource for the whole family. AAFP members also have access to additional content within the "Members" section of AAFP.org.

Although a commerical site, there is plenty of useful information about orthopedics for consumers. The first screen has graphical links to the knee, shoulder, ankle, spine, hand and elbow, with each link providing anatomical information and conditions requiring medical intervention. Surgical procedures are illustrated and discussed in basic terms. Additional links include pediatric orthopedics and an in-depth look at arthritis of the hip and knee. A major focus appears to be patient education.
