Biographies of Women Mathematicians

"These pages are part of an on-going project by students in mathematics classes at Agnes Scott College, in Atlanta, Georgia, to illustrate the numerous achievements of women in the field of mathematics. There are brief comments on many of the women mathematicians and some photos (which look best at more than 256 colors). Our goal is for this list to continue to expand, and for more biographies to be completed." Not all entries are complete, but the ones that are include references. There are also links to excellent resources on the topic of women and mathematics.

A collection of over 1000 biographies of mathematicians, 200 of which are quite detailed. Also a series of documents on the development of various branches of mathematics.
Mathematicians of the African Diaspora

This website is intended to exhibit the accomplishments of the peoples of Africa and the African Diaspora within the Mathematical Sciences.It includes an array of information ranging from famous mathematician profiles, women's history, database of computer scientists, astronomers, and physicists. It also provides educational statistics regarding the number of Ph.d.s granted and percentage of African Americans in science related careers. It also has job postings, links to Black mathematician journals, and a list of recent deaths of prominent scientists.
